Our Team
Mr Tim Miller
Headteacher / Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL)
I joined this fantastic team and school in September 2024 after working in another school just outside Swindon, in South Marston. I believe in collaboration and enjoy working alongside parents, our local community, our Reverend and our Trust.
I have a particular passion for writing and reading as well as championing sport in school. I am passionate about developing the whole child and believe that opportunities in sport, music and the arts really support academic progress, well-being and future opportunities.
Away from school, I have two young children and enjoy playing for a local football team on Saturdays and attending music concerts.
Teaching Staff
Mrs Isobel Richards
Berrycroft Class / Deputy DSL / EYFS Trust Lead
Hello! I’m Mrs Richards and I’ve been lucky enough to teach at Ashbury Primary School since 2019. I’m the Early Years teacher for Berrycroft class, and I absolutely love being part of our small, friendly school community.
I’m also the EYFS Lead for our Trust, and I lead on phonics and reading across the school—two things I’m really passionate about. I’m a total bookworm and love sharing my enthusiasm for stories with the children!
Creating a warm, nurturing environment where our youngest children can learn through play is at the heart of everything I do. There’s nothing better than seeing them grow in confidence and curiosity each day.
Outside of school, I recently got married, and at home I’m kept busy by my cheeky spaniel, Ralph, who makes sure I’m always out and about!
Mrs Lynda Timms
SENCO
Hello! I’m Mrs Timms. I joined the Ashbury team in 2013 and I love working here! I have taught all of the classes in the school. I love the family feel of Ashbury School and how we can all support one another and grow together.
I am the SENCO and I am dedicated to ensuring that all of our children are given the tools they need to access both the curriculum and life at school.
Outside of school, I live with my husband and two young children. We love exploring the local area and recently have taken on an allotment. We are enjoying munching on the fruits and vegetables that we have sown, cared for and harvested!
Mrs Roseanne Apps
Ashdown Class / Deputy DSL
Hello! I’m Mrs Apps, and I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Ashbury Primary School family since January 2018. I teach Year 5/6 in Ashdown Class and I just love working in such a warm, welcoming community.
Teaching Year 5/6 is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy helping children grow into confident, independent learners as they prepare for secondary school. From building skills in maths to exploring rich English texts, each day brings new challenges and opportunities.
I also lead RE, maths, and science across the school; I love encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and helping develop a deeper understanding of our ever-changing world.
One of my favourite parts of the year is directing the KS2 end-of-year production. It’s wonderful to see the children shine on stage, grow in confidence, and work together to create something special. I also enjoy taking my class on residential trips, giving pupils valuable chances to build independence and lasting memories.
When I’m not in the classroom, my energetic toddler and lively border collie keep me on my toes, bringing plenty of joy (and a bit of chaos) to everyday life.
Miss Maundrell
Wayland Class
My name is Miss Maundrell, and I have had the pleasure of teaching here for the past five years. I’m currently the KS1 teacher for Wayland class, but I have also taught LKS2 too.
In addition to my teaching role, I am the school’s Senior Mental Health Lead, having completed my training in 2022. I also share responsibility for leading Maths with Mrs Apps, and I lead on History, PSHE, and French across the school.
What I value most about working at Ashbury Primary School is the distinctive sense of community that comes from being part of a small school. There is a strong culture of mutual support and care amongst both staff and pupils, creating a nurturing and collaborative environment.
Mr David Hore
Ridgeway Class
Hello! I’m Mr Hore and I’ve been part of the Ashbury Primary School team since 2024. I teach Ridgeway Class, our wonderful Year 3/4s, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a warm and welcoming school community.
I’m especially passionate about maths and PE, and I love finding creative, engaging ways to help children build confidence and enjoy learning in these subjects. Whether it’s solving tricky problems in the classroom or getting active out on the field, I’m always keen to see pupils challenge themselves and have fun while they learn.
Outside of school, I enjoy staying active, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. I also referee football matches at the weekend, which keeps me on my toes and fuels my love of sport.

Teaching Assistants
Mrs Melanie Dunford
Hello, I’m Mrs Dunford and I recently re-joined the school just before Easter (I used to work here before and am really excited to be back!) I really love the way the school community works together in a very supportive way.
I am an HLTA at the school and I help with supporting children in class and with small group activities outside class. I also cover classes sometimes if teachers have to attend meetings, have time to work on the subjects they lead, or have planning time.
My main area of interest, other than what I do at the moment, is music, and I am a member of a choir outside of school. I have lead music at other schools (and here previously). I am looking forward to using my skills in this area again.
Mrs Lara Maude
Hello, I am Lara Maude, a teaching assistant at Ashbury Primary School. I have felt a valued member of this wonderful school community for many years, first as a parent and since 2016 as a Teaching Assistant. In my role, I have the privilege of supporting children’s learning and development across the school. It is truly rewarding to witness each child grow and reach their potential. As an avid reader, I enjoy sharing books with the children and listening to them read. I also take great pleasure in managing the school library and fostering a genuine love for reading throughout the school.
Ms Liz Peall
I’ve been part of the Ashbury family for 7 wonderful years and supporting our youngest learners as they grow, play, and discover the world around them for 6 years as part of Berrycroft class. My connection to the school goes even deeper, as my own children have also attended Ashbury school in the past making it a truly special place for our whole family. I have a passion for creativity and love bringing crafts into the classroom to spark imagination and hands-on learning. When I’m not at school, you’ll often find me enjoying all things Disney and being mum taxi!
Mrs Natasha Froude
Hi, I’m Mrs Froude, I've been a teaching assistant at Ashbury CofE Primary School for the past three years, and I absolutely love being part of the children’s learning and growth. Helping them build confidence and reach their potential is something I’m really passionate about. I'm also a mum of three, so I bring a lot of patience, care, and real-life experience to the classroom. For me, it’s all about creating a warm, supportive space where every child can thrive.
Mrs Patricia Cleverley
Hello! I’m Mrs Cleverley, and I’m proud to be part of the team here working as a Teaching Assistant.
Supporting children in their learning journey is something I find incredibly rewarding. I’m especially passionate about making sure every child feels heard, understood, and encouraged to explore their full potential. Everyone has a story to tell and dreams to grow into—and I love being part of a team that helps nurture those dreams every day.
Outside of school, you’ll most often find me enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my family, or getting active through exercise. I believe strongly in the value of fresh air, movement, and quality time together—whether in the classroom or out in the world.
I feel privileged to work in a role where I can help create opportunities, build confidence, and celebrate progress, no matter how big or small. Listening, understanding, and supporting is at the heart of what I do.
Miss Jackie Magill
Hello, I’m Miss Magill. I’m a parent at Ashbury and a teaching assistant working with Key Stage 1 children. I have a real passion for languages and early education, and I currently run an after-school French club. I love bringing energy, empathy, and enthusiasm into the classroom each day. My daughter is thriving in Little Berries Preschool, and I feel very proud to be part of such a warm and supportive community. I’m excited to be involved both as a parent and an educator, and I look forward to helping our young learners grow and shine.
