"We Care"

Swindon Music Festival March 2017

On 30th March 2017 Ashbury’s school choir returned to the Arts Centre in Swindon to compete in the 2017 Swindon Music Festival. Attendees to the festival were treated to the choirs rendition of “Seed of Friendship” and “Chim chim cher-ee”. The choir stood confidently as they proudly sang to the eager crowd. Particular highlights for me were the harmonies in “Seeds of Friendship” and how the choir could combine actions to “Chim chim cher-ee” without detracting from their singing. The adjudicator was extremely positive about the performance which was reflected in the outstanding overall mark of 89! This is the highest score the choir has achieved in recent years and has earned them the A.J. May Trophy for 2017.

Well done to all the choir and thank you to Miss Northeast.
