Prickly Hay 2015

The Nativity Play by Poppy Year 6

On the 10th December 2015, Ashbury Primary School put on a production of the nativity. It was called Prickly Hay.

The main parts were shared out between five people (Katy, Poppy, Cassie, Jennifer and Lottie). They played Sam the stable boy and the Shrew. It was good because everyone got to be what they wanted. The play was about a boy called Sam thinking that his job wasn’t important. Of course, the play was also about the birth of Jesus. In the end Sam found out that his job was important for the nativity play.

Everyone in school thought that it went really well. It all ran really smoothly. Jennifer said “I was really happy when I found out that I was Sam!”

In the end it turned out really well and everyone enjoyed it.

The school's religious character is an integral part of everyday life at Ashbury. Pupils' behaviour is excellent.
