Curriculum

Preschool children will follow the Early Years Curriculum.  This will be based around a main topic each term.  However, child led learning will also be incorporated.  Your child will be encouraged to explore their own interests and these will be linked in during the year.

Topics will be taught on a 2 year rolling programme to ensure children are not repeating the same topics in Preschool and Reception. Topics might include:

Superheroes, Dinosaurs, Farms, Castles, The World Around Us.  To give children further experiences and enrich their learning we invite in visitors to talk with the children – these vary each year depending on the topics.  For example, Jonathan’s Jungle Roadshow, Circus Skills Workshop as well as visits to Berrycroft Farm in the village.
